The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is a top-ranked public research university in Daejeon, South Korea. KAIST is accepting applications for its graduate programs in spring 2025 for international students seeking a master’s or doctoral degree.
Before you apply, please read the following information to understand everything about the scholarship.
Benefits
- Full tuition fee exemption: 4 semesters for master’s students, 8 semesters for doctoral students.
- Monthly scholarship: 350,000 won for master’s students, 400,000 won for doctoral students Premium health insurance.
- Student’s can do part time jobs

Eligibility Criteria
- This scholarship is valid for non-Korean students only.
- A bachelor’s certificate is required for admission to Masters and PhD programs and PhD program. Submit a Master’s degree certificate.
- English proficiency test results

- Certificate of relationship you and your parents.

How to Apply
Step 1: Create an account and choose a degree and program of study at KAIS
Step 2: Enter your personal and academic backgrounds, prior experiences, and achievements, Upload all the required documents
Step 3: Write your statement of purpose and answer the other promp.
Step 4: Choose your financial resources – you can apply for KAIST Scholarship in this step.
Step 5: pay the application fee of 80,000 KRW or 80 USD online.

- Applicants must pay an application fee of 80,000 KRW or 80 USD online, which is non-refundable.
- This Scholarship only for international students.
- KAIST receives recommendation letters electronically. After paying application fee referee will receive email with instruct to submit recommendation by September 23rd, 2024.
