About Scholarships
Under the Research Internship Program, OIST’s graduate school is a place where you may study and investigate on STEM areas. These are usually short-term and can last between three to six months, therefore students are able to gain significant laboratory experience in a given field or learn specific technologies. They will be working under the supervision of a professor who is also involved in OIST research activities.
Those who are currently undergoing their final two years of an undergraduate program, those in any year in masters’ program or those with either bachelors or master’s degree and have interests in OIST PhD can join the Education Program as research interns at OIST.

Eligibility Criteria
- final 2 years of the undergraduate or Masters programs in universities (should add an approval from their institute for pursuing students to join in internship to the OIST)
- Graduate Students
- Applicants should have an academic background that aligns with their desired host unit(s) at OIST.

Application Requirements
- Statement of purpose (write 400 words (2500 characters) statement)
- Academic Transcript (Unofficial transcript also eligible)
- Certificate (If you are not graduate you can upload your enrolment certificate where should be mention expected graduation date)
- Recommendation letter (After receiving at least 1 reference letter from your professor by himself through the web portal, you will submit your application.

Remember, you will able to submit your complete application after receiving at least one recommendation letter through the portal and You can make a list of professors and research areas up to 3.
